Happy 60th Mom! Surprise!!!
On May 13th it was my moms 60th birthday. My sister and I planned a surprise party to celebrate. Our colour theme was green and blue and we also used daisies.
I saw these large pompoms in Martha Stewart Weddings and decided to try to make them. They actually turned out pretty well and were easy to make, unlike some of the projects that are shown there.
Here are the 2 cakes that I made.
We gave out favours in the aqua and apple take out boxes. Inside was very yummy chocolate covered peanut brittle made by Jenny who is a friend from Stratford who has a business making peanut brittle.
Aidan was kind enough to provide the musical entertainment.

I love the decor for the party and would love to “borrow” your already tested ideas. Which magazine did you get it from? I’ve gone through my limited Martha Stewart Wedding stash and can’t find the original article/instructions.
