Neat Stuff Tuesday - Trash the Dress
What could be more fun than rolling around in the sand in your wedding gown? Or taking a swim with it on? If you are not planning on saving your dress for future generations and want to get some great photos, maybe a Trash the Dress session is for you. My wedding dress has been hanging in my closet for almost 12 years now. I’m getting a bit sick of it taking up space, so I’m thinking maybe I will do a Trash the Dress. I just need a photographer. Any volunteers? Emma? He he. I’m thinking this would be so much fun.
Here are some great photos I found of some brides who were brave enough to Trash the Dress. I found these pictures on a lovely site dedicated to trashing the dress, www.trashthedress.com. Be sure to check it out.

I love how brave these people are…it’s great…..makes for VERY dramatic shots.
Most brides don’t really like the idea of completely ruining their dress when they only wore it last week! Ha!
I think you’re right….this kind of shoot might appeal more to people who have been married for a while……or somebody about to get divorced!!!
Wish I lived closer to you, but I’m in California. Most of my shoots are with very recent brides…but they don’t have to ruin their dress….

Awesome post. I like the final image laying in front of the car. Good concept.

These are great clicks. 2nd one is most beautiful photograph. It shows how they love each other.

What a shame. Someone else might have worn the dress, benefiting Goodwill, Making Memories, or another charity.

This idea makes for great photographs but it definitely takes some guts to do it. I admire these women for taking the risk to get amazing memories.
