Richard & Learzi - September 2, 2007

Thursday, January 24th, 2008

Learzi and Richard were kind enough to share some photos of their beautiful pink and green, zen-themed wedding. Working with Learzi, I can tell how important the little things were that made the day that much more spectacular. She has great attention to detail.

Learzi and Richard gave their guests these lovely candles. The candles were coffee scented and had coffee beans at the bottom. They came with a wooden base. I designed the labels using the orchid theme with a zen feel and pink and green colours. I bet the guests were pleased to receive such a nice favour.

Congratulations to Richard and Learzi! It was a pleasure to work with you and I really enjoyed designing the labels and postcards for your wedding.

My Pink and Brown Office

Monday, January 21st, 2008

Last year I took over Ronan’s bedroom and turned it into my office. Needless to say he wasn’t too impressed to be sharing a room with his big brother but I’m sure he’ll get over it one day.

I decided to make my office really girly so I chose a few colours of pink and accented with brown. I love spending time in “my” room. Apparently boys aren’t fans of pink rooms!

I’ve finally finished organizing everything and thought I would share some photos with you.
desk.jpg

Here is my desk area. I got the desk and chair from Ikea and the file box and shelf from Homesense. I love those stores. The shelf unit on the left we built. I love the curtains. I bought the fabric off of ebay. It has a brown background with girls in pink who are shopping, one of my favorite things to do. I finished the bottoms of the curtains with little pink pompoms.

Here are my new fixtures. I love the way they look in my office, almost like built-ins.

This is my most favorite thing ever!!! My very own ribbon rack. I was so excited when we finished building this. I have always wanted one.

Cheryl was kind enough to send me some photos from her wedding last summer. She used green and chocolate as her colours.

Here is Cheryl and Brad. I love how Brads tie matches the colour theme! Cheryl looks gorgeous!

Cheryl and Brad’s favours were Root Beer and Lemon Lime Jelly Bellys in our Square Clear Top Tin with a Mini monogram and Light Green/Dark Green Saddlestitch Ribbon. Very cute!

Thank you for sending in your photos.

I Really Need These

Thursday, January 3rd, 2008

This would be perfect for those days when I like to pretend that I am a housewife from the 50’s. I love this apron and glove set. I think that anything that I ever made while wearing these would have to taste divine. As if they aren’t already perfect, they come in pink and they help out a great cause, The Breast Cancer Foundation. Want it!

We LOVE Lollipops

Tuesday, October 9th, 2007

They are here! Our beautiful old-fashioned hand pulled lollipops are up in the shop. I think you will agree with me that they are beautiful. I’m having a hard time not eating all of the samples.

Thank you to Emma of Barebonephoto for taking the very cool photos of all of the lollipops. I thought I would add some of the shots we took here so you could see. As soon as I saw some of these photos, I wanted to have a lollipop. Great job Emma. You are too good.

Lovely Lollipops

Wednesday, September 19th, 2007

If you are looking for a fun favour to give your guests, these lovely Lollipops would be a great idea. They are handmade the old fashioned way and have a wooden stick with a co-ordinating satin bow included. They come in 6 different flavours, Tangerine, Cotton Candy, Bubblegum, Pink Lemonaide, Wild Cherry and Sour grape. They are available in two sizes of round, a very cool square, barber pole and, whirly stick shapes. You can customize your Lollipops by adding a custom label from our collection or a customized hang tag which we will soon be offering.

We are very excited to be carrying these luxury lollipops. They will be up on the site soon but if you would like to purchase some before then, please let me know.

I let the boys choose one lollipop each so we could see what they tasted like. They are delicious! Here are some photos of them enjoying their small round swirl lollipops in Tangerine and Cotton Candy.

Our 10th Anniversary

Thursday, August 9th, 2007

kr.jpg

On August 23, Richard and I will celebrate our 10th anniversary. Wow, time really flies. I remember the day we got married like it was yesterday. I thought it would be fun to share our wedding day with you.

Richard and I designed our own invitaitons and my best friend Cindy printed them for us. Our colour theme was sage green, yellow and brick red. We used daisies throughout the wedding. We made our invitation in a square shape (which was unheard of at the time) and made square envelopes that folded over and were sealed with a daisy sticker.

We had our ceremony and reception at Rich’s parent’s. They lived out in the country and had lots of land for us to use. We built what we called the “structure” which we were going to use to get married in if it rained. We had our reception in a big tent.

I wanted to have an arch built out of twigs. Rich and his bestman Rob built this the day before the wedding.

Here are some of the photos from our wedding. We hired Marc Rochette from Reportage. He did a wonderful job. We really wanted the photo journalist style and didn’t want any posed photos. After a while we didn’t even realize they were there taking our pictures. We are big fans of black and white pictures so most of our photos were taken in b&w with a grainy texture.
cake.jpg

Here is our cake. I was all about the cake. It was made by Cakewalkers in London. They did an awesome job. I really loved it.

Our favours. White boxes tied with yellow ribbon and a daisy on top. Inside was a miniture version of our wedding cake made with fruit cake (yuck. I’m not a fan of fruitcake, but Rich loves it.) The photos of the mini cakes aren’t great, we took it and this was the only one. Apparently they tasted good. We also had a small white box with 2 truffles inside tied with yellow ribbon and a daisy on the top. And we also gave a small package of daisy seeds.

Emma took this cool picture. Our wedding was right before she left for college to study photography. Too bad we didn’t get married later, we would have loved for Emma to take all of the pictures.

Beautiful cake plate

Monday, July 23rd, 2007

I saw this gorgeous cake plate and thought I would share it with you. It would be lovely to use for a cupcake tower for a wedding or any other special party. It is available online at Bodie and Fou and was designed by Polly George. There is also a teapot that is just beautiful.
