MMMmmm Pie! I love pie. A pie buffet would be so fun to have at your wedding. Not everyone loves cake and having a whole table filled with different flavours of delicious pies would appeal to everyone. I would have apple, lemon meringue, chocolate cream, pecan, cherry, pumpkin,coconut cream and maybe a bumbleberry. Mmmm now I’m hungry for pie. I might need to go and make one.

My kids were behaving like little monsters today so I was inspired to look up some monsters on Etsy. All of these monsters are soo cute and they are quiet too, unlike the monsters at my house.
These would make a fun thank you gift for any kids you have in your wedding.

So you were given a beautiful ring or a lovely necklace from that someone special. Now he isn’t so special and you are no longer together. What do you do with the jewellery he gave you? You probably don’t want to wear it and be reminded of what once was. Check out Ex-Boyfriend Jewelry. On Monday, I posted the recipes for some yummy cookies that I was going to make for Valentine’s day. I finished mine and thought I would show how they turned out.
I packaged them up in a tin box and added a custom hang tag.
These are the ones I made for Ronan’s class. I put one cookie in a glassine bag and tied it with a ribbon and a hang tag. Very cute. I am thinking something like this would make a cute and inexpensive favour for a party or wedding.
Monday is Family Day so I won’t be posting anything for Yummy Monday. Hope you enjoy the day off with your family. Maybe you can bake some “Family Day” cookies.

I know this is a bit early, but I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year! (Usually I procrastinate so I’m already doing well on one of those resolutions I made. Thank you and congratulations to all of my clients who allowed me to help them with the fun details for their special day in 2008!
We are planning some exciting things for 2009 here at Karensmallbone.com. I have big plans for my blog and hope to be able to add something useful and inspiring each day. We are also celebrating our 3rd birthday this year and we have some fun stuff planned for that too.

Congratulations to Rebecca on her Bat Mitzvah!
As a special thank you to her guests, Rebecca gave everyone one of our Small Swirl Lollipops.
We designed a large round label to go on each of the lollipops. The labels matched the colours of the lollipops.
Rebecca was kind enough to share some photos of the lollipops in a stunning display! So delicious looking!
We recently found out our lollipop supplier has gone out of business. We have a new supplier that carries handmade lollipops that are just a beautiful as the ones we had. They have lots flavours and colours available (including a chocolate brown!). I’m just in the process of having photos taken and setting everything up on the site. If you need some lollipops for your event, just let me know.

Karen began her merchandising career creating displays, planning tradeshows and "making things look pretty" at Royal Doulton.
After leaving her merchandising career to become a stay at home mom and domestic goddess, Karen missed creating beautiful things to share with people.
